Take Necromancer Test from Verata the Necromancer and turn it in.
Take A Mesmer's Burden from Lady Althea and turn it in. Accept Mesmer as your secondary profession.

  • Do the quest Defend the Wall from Warmaster Tydus

The Great Northern Wall

  • Complete the mission: The Great Northern Wall
    • Note: I recommend being level 6 before doing this mission.
    • I recommend doing the bonus as well since it's a quick 1,000 XP
    • Be on the look out for the following items that salvage into Tanned Hide Squares:
      • Grawl Gear

Fort Ranik

  • Complete the mission: Fort Ranik
    • Note: I recommend being level 8 before doing this mission.
    • If you're not level 8 yet, consider doing some of these quick quests:
      • Recruits for Hollis from Warmaster Tydus
      • Rastin's Ritual from Witness Rastin
      • Or start the mission and kill the first few charr
    • Be on the look out for the following items that salvage into Tanned Hide Squares:
      • Grawl Gear
      • Stalker Armor
      • Charr Hide
Build: Fort Ranik Level 8 N/Me

Frontier Gate

  • Craft 30 AL armor from Corwen in Ascalon City before moving on (you will likely not have the dust yet for a headpiece).
    • Requires 14 Tanned Hide Squares and 300gp
    • Headpiece is 2 Dust & 75gp
  • Return to Frontier Gate.
  • Waypoint back to Frontier Gate, leave through the Eastern Frontier exit, and head towards Serenity Temple.
    • As you approach the entrance to Pockmark Flats, do the quest https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Caravan_in_Trouble from Cynn.
      • Repeat this quest by rezoning until you collect at least 2 stormy eyes and salvage them into Piles of Glittering Dust for headpiece armor.
        • Accept reward once complete.
    • Continue on to Serenity Temple.

  • Make your way to Augury Rock
  • Keep all collectibles since they can be traded for max armor from collectors in the desert:
    • Bleached Carapace
    • Jade Mandible
    • Minotaur Horn

Augury Rock (outpost)

Do the following quests for skills:

  • Trade for AR 60 collector armor as it becomes available from drops.
    • Alternatively, you can farm for them intentionally for a higher armor rating.
    • Keep in mind that this collector armor can't use Insignias, so start saving runes.

  • Enter the mission and kill enough minotaur to turn in Ghostly Vengence and collect 5x Minotaur Horns
    • Turn in quest. Go outside Augury Rock's western exit and get 60 AR Gloves.
  • Using Elemental Resistance, go outside the outpost into Diviner's Ascent and farm 5x Topaz Crests
  • Complete the mission: Elona Reach

  • Enter the mission and kill enough Losaru to collect 5x Losaru Manes
    • Go outside the Thirsty River outpost to get 60 AR Leggings.
  • Complete the mission: Dunes of Despair

Take the following quest for 15 attribute points:

  • Take this quest to replace the Ice Imps outside of Ice Caves of Sorrow with Stone Summit Gnashers: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Seeking_The_Seer
    • Consider not turning in this quest so you can farm Necromancer weapons and rune drops from the Stone Summit Gnashers outside of the Ice Caves of Sorrow outpost.
  • Craft new armor which can have insignias applied. I've recommend crafting an Attunement/Radiant set. Higher health means higher sacrifice with blood renewal.
  • Walk to Ice Caves of Sorrow.

Ice Caves of Sorrow

Build: Ice Caves of Sorrow Level 20 N/Me

Iron Mines of Moladune

  • Before completing the mission, death teleport to Copperhammer Mines and do the 15 attribute quest.
    • Consider bringing a Capture Signet for Grenth's Balance

  • Be sure to have the full set of armor you want infused with you, as this mission is the first location you can get your armor Infused at.
  • Complete the mission Iron Mines of Moladune

Thunderhead Keep

  • Before completing the mission, return to the Iron Mines of Moladune mission to capture the elite skill Life Transfer from the Mursaat Necro Boss now that our armor is infused.
    • There's a Mursaat Boss spawn at the start of the mission. Re-enter until it's the necro. Every enemy except the boss can be killed by using Life Siphon and running away.
  • Optionally, it might be worth crafting a higher health set with either Blessed/Vitaes & Vigor or Survivor/Vitaes & Vigor.
    • Be sure to get it infused as well. The Azure Shadows in the Infusion run is easier with Life Transfer.
  • Complete the mission Thunderhead Keep

Ember Light Camp

Ring of Fire

  • Run from Droknar's Forge to Port Sledge and capture Energy Drain from Witman's Folly.
Build: Capturing Energy Drain Level 20 N/Me
  • Go to Elona Reach and farm 5x Minotaur Horns for a q9 Domination Magic Cane from the collector outside the outpost. Customize it.
  • Complete the mission Ring of Fire.
