Nolani Academy

Completed this mission as a level 9-10 R/Me. Not too bad of a level to do it on. Some notes:

• This mission consists level 6-9 charr rangers and level 7-8 devourers (warrior, rangers, and necros)— all of which pop up. There's some gargoyles, but they can avoided. Just stick to the west side of the field in the beginning. Once you're past the field, if you kill all char outside, a cutscene starts and you have rurik. Nothing fancy for killing the charr.

• After the cutscene you'll be with Rurik. He always runs ahead when there are no enemies in aggro range. Once he starts running, you'll fight some level 7 boulder elementals, as well as a boss, but you can let Rurik tank all that. He has endure pain, healing signet, and defensive stance. Soon after you'll trigger a cutscene.

• [Note: alternatively, you can go right after the gate cutscene and run directly to kill the final Ele boss (there are only 2 enemies on the way that should already be fighting with 2 NPCs). Rurik should not die, even in HM.]

• After this cutscene, you can pull a small group up to you and, if you're lucky, avoid all the other charr in that open field. Not sure how to make that happen, but it did during my run.

• The last challenge is the level 10 Elementalist boss that has Aura of Restoration and Flare. If you disable his flare, or backfire, or strip the aura, you might have a better chance at killing it. Also, you can block his Line of Sight and he will start to run out of energy and cast Flare less often.
  • This boss is very easy if you speak to the four Ascalon Prisoners (assuming you saved any), have them follow you, and then attack the boss with them.
