Solo God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals (GWAMM)
There are a lot of considerations if you're wanting to go for Solo GWAMM. You must first decide how 'Solo' you will complete this title based on your ruleset. Many opt for allowing account-wide titles of an existing account, this will decide how you do some titles and whether or not some titles are possible. Below are all of the titles you can get split by difficulty in terms of both how hard the tasks are, and how much time they take.
Easy Titles
Legendary Defender of Ascalon (Prophecies characters only)
Time Investment: Low - 18-40 Hours
Platinum Investment: None
Resources Used: None
- When going for this on a core profession (Anything but Assassin, Ritualist, Dervish, Paragon) you generally always want to start Prophecies, and should complete Legendary Defender of Ascalon for the free title. This can save you thousands of gold in the long run.
Legendary Survivor
Time Investment: Low - 10-20 Hours
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes (Speed)
- This title is essentially free if you're going for GWAMM. Between Vaettir farming or doing Kilroy, there will be many times you can acquire this without issue.
Incorrigible Ale-Hound
- See below.
Connoisseur of Confectioneries
Time Investment: Low - Depends on how/when they're acquired.
Platinum Investment: Max 2000 Platinum/ea (1 point = 200 g)
- Both of these titles are buyable from NPCs year-round but between all of the yearly festivals, these are very simple to complete.
Life of the Party
Time Investment: Low - Depends on how/when they're acquired.
Platinum Investment: ??? Platinum
- This title is slightly harder than both of the above, but doable with proper planning. Party Points unlike alcohol or sweets cannot be bought (they can actually be traded against materials during Canthan new year but it's not worth doing) - this means when these are farmable you likely want to focus on them, particularly during Wintersday Snowball Dominance, Anniversary event with Party Beacon farming on bosses, and Wayfarer's Reverie
EOTN Reputation Titles
- All four of these titles can always fallback to Speed Booking for farming reputation points. It takes about 18 hours per title to max speed booking at about 20 minutes per run.
Ebon Vanguard rank: Secret Agent
Time Investment: Low - 26 Hours doing Snowball Dominance, 11~ Hours doing April Fools quests, 18 hours Speed booking
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes (Speed)
- Ebon Vanguard is likely the easiest of all the EOTN Reputation titles to farm if lined up with seasonal events. During the Christmas event you can farm this at the same time as the Life of the Party title doing Snowball Dominance. Additionally on April Fools Day (April 1st) you can farm the April Fools Vanguard quests very easily for a lot of points.
Deldrimor rank: Legendary Delver
Time Investment: Medium - 18 Hours (Speed Booking)
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes, Customized Kilroy max daggers w/ mods
- This title is fairly straightforward to achieve doing Kilroy, or Secret lair of the Snowmen. Kilroy is especially solo friendly and also a good way to get Legendary Survivor!
Norn rank: Slayer of All
Time Investment: Medium - 18 Hours (Speed Booking)
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes (Speed)
- Norn rank isn't too bad if you regularly farm Vaettir farm If doing this you'll likely be doing it a lot for money or items for other related titles during events. If not doing this, it's likely recommended to stick with Speed Booking.
Asura rank: Not Too Shabby
Time Investment: Medium - 18 Hours (Speed Booking)
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes (Speed)
- The Asura rank can be obtained through Raptor farming but is a bit slower than other titles. This is another good place to earn points via Speed Booking.
Legendary Spearmarshal
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: None
- This Title will be acquired while you work on Nightfall Vanquishing. Doing every Nightfall vanquish with bounties will make this title free.
Holy Lightbringer
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: None
- This title is also mostly acquired during Nightfall Vanquishing. When finishing you will be about 10-15k Points short, and can farm the rest in Stygian Veil for about 500 points an hour (or 1k an hour during double week).
Intermediate Titles
Grandmaster Cartographer titles (Tyria, Cantha, Elona, Legendary)
Time Investment: Long - Can be rushed but more optimal to do during other tasks.
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: Cupcakes (Speed)
- These titles are all very easy to complete, especially while working on missions, doing vanquishing, or capturing elite skills.
Skill Hunter titles (Tyria, Cantha, Elona, Legendary)
Time Investment: Long - Mixes well with Cartography, Missions, etc
Platinum Investment: 290~ Platinum for Capture Signets + 290 Skill Points
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
- This title is pretty straightforward, mostly being a time and money sink. You can save 13 Platinum 900 Gold if you do not purchase any skill other than Signet of Capture from trainers, thus making use of the skill cost scaling so be sure to do all your skill quests. You can save 20 Platinum and 20 skill points by capturing all core elite skills including anniversary skills, and skipping 10 campaign-specific elite skills in every campaign.
Protector of Tyria
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
- This title is the most difficult of the 'Intermediate' difficulty titles. This requires to you to complete every Mission + Bonus for all missions in Prophecies. Most mission+bonus combos up through the Desert aren't too difficult to do (especially if you come back for some bonuses like The Frost Gate as a level 20) but in particular most of the Desert, Southern Shiverpeaks, and Fire Island bonuses are decently difficult to complete. Especially difficult are Thirsty River and Thunderhead Keep, known as the hardest missions in the campaign.
Hard Titles
Protector of Elona
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
- Missions that make Protector of Elona hard are Abaddon’s Gate and Grand Court of Sebelkeh, because bonus completion is tied to how fast you complete these missions. In Grand Court of Sebelkeh, you need a huge damage output, since you have 6 min to complete the mission, but need 2 min 15 sec (3x45 sec) just to cap the rifts, which lets you with 3 min 45 sec to do the glitch and kill all the enemies.
Depending on your profession & ruleset, Pogahn Passage, Dzagonur Bastion, Jennur’s Horde, Nundu Bay, and Ruins of Morah might also be tedious.
Blessed by Fate (account-wide)
Time Investment: Very Long
Platinum Investment: Insane - When working on this and Unlucky in 9 Rings it's upwards of 1000 Platinum. This does have a benefit over Unlucky where as because the higher your rank, the less you break lockpicks that makes this 'cheaper' as your rank raises because you break less lockpicks.
Grand Master Treasure Hunter (account-wide)
Time Investment: Very Long
Platinum Investment: 15000 Platinum if buying Lockpicks at max price
- This title is a very heavy investment of both Time & Platinum. The good news is when farming this, you're also farming Wisdom points (Identifying all golds) & Lucky & Unlucky points (when a lockpick is saved or breaks).
- You can also very Optimally farm Golden Eggs during Sweet Treats Week. You should Farm as much as possible during this week to help lessen the cost of this title.
Source of Wisdom (account-wide)
Time Investment: Very Long
Platinum Investment: 40-50 Platinum for Identification Kits to identify the items.
- You will get this title while working on Grand Master Treasure Hunter, and in general while completing any content in the campaigns that offer golds.
Hardest Titles
Guardian of Tyria
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
- Many missions are hard to complete for Guardian of Tyria. The hardest are:
D’Alessio Seabord, because defending Dorian is likely impossible, so you have very limited time to rush to the end or to the bonus once Dorian is attacked.
Dunes of despair, because even if you use the glitch, you have very limited time to kill the bonus enemies.
Thirsty River, because the first room is hard to pass, and the last room requires you to save the bonus guy + to clear the whole room in less than ~11 minutes.
The Dragon’s Lair, because some rooms are hard to deal with (especially mesmer’s and Elementalist’s rooms). Glint might also be challenging depending on your profession.
Hell’s Precipice, because saving the Seer in HM is very challenging and enemies are very fast.
Thunderhead Keep, because glitching the King at the beginning is not as simple as in NM, and both running the avicaras and defending the fort with the gates opened are way harder than in NM.
Cursed by Fate (account-wide)
Time Investment: Very Long - If only doing via Nine Rings can take 2-4 Years (Depending on how often you AFK, and if there are double points weeks that line up).
Platinum Investment: Insane - When working on this and Lucky in 9 Rings it's upwards of 1000 Platinum. Reaching the maximum Unlucky title via lockpicks alone would require spending 12,000 Platinum, if you only opened chests at a 50% retention rate.
Vanquisher titles (Tyria, Cantha, Elona, Legendary)
Tyria Vanquisher
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
???
Cantha Vanquisher
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
???
Elona Vanquisher
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
???
Savior of the Kurzicks (account-wide)
Kurzick Faction Farm
- There isn't a known AFK Kurzick faction farming method yet. The best known way to farm faction would be to target farm groups (like the Dragon Moss) or Vanquishing during double faction week. Be sure to contribute faction to a guild instead of other options when possible as you get 2x for that as well (4x total during double week).
Legendary Master of the North
Time Investment: Long
Platinum Investment: None
Useful Resources: All Player Consumables
- This has never been acquired fully solo as of yet but seems like it might be possible with using Consumables. Completing each primary quest and dungeon exactly once each in both normal mode and hard mode, and turning in the relevant books, you can earn 150,000 reputation points, 300,000 experience, 64 reward items, and 30 Platinum. You’d also need to vanquish Eye of The North, which in Nao’s opinion was harder than vanquishing the other campaigns (especially Drakkar Lake and Grothmar Wardowns).
Currently Impossible / Improbable Titles
- These titles are all currently not likely probable in a Solo context and with some it's not known if it's possible to acquire them.
Protector of Cantha
Guardian titles (Cantha, Elona, Legendary)
- None of these titles have been obtained fully Solo as of yet. Because Cantha Bonuses are tied to how fast you complete missions more than often, this makes them very incompatible with the Solo playstyle where you often have slow but methodical play. The closest one to being 'possible' would be Guardian of Elona but several Missions present problems there.
Savior of the Luxons (account-wide)
Luxon Faction Farm
- Zos Shivros Channel can be AFK farmed but hasn't been successfully solo yet. After wave 7 the challenge mission bugs out, and never sends wave 8 and later waves to the island where Battle Priest Calibos stands. This allows players to gain 50 faction / minute indefinitely without any risk or effort. You can use a vamp weapon to lure the NPC away and then come up with a build to clear the first 7 waves. Assuming you start from zero faction and not counting the time it takes to get to wave 7 it takes about 139 days of time afking this to get the 10 Million faction for the title when donating 1:1 OR half that (70 days) if trading at a 1:2 (Donating to a guild for example)
Legendary Hero of the Zaishen (account-wide)
- Max Zaishen rank cannot be obtained fully solo feasibly. You need to spend 20,000 Gold Zaishen Coin and 2000 Platinum to buy enough Zaishen keys for the title, however because you are limited to only the PVE Method of getting coins (Zaishen quests) your stock of coins is severely limited. Even doing every single quest every day at the 'maximum' amount of coins you can earn (which is completely theoretical and more than the actual amount) of 814 Copper coins, it would take upwards of 33 1/2 years of logging in daily to complete. This is also ignoring that many of the vanquishes are 5+ hour endeavors, and that you likely will not be able to complete all the missions in hard mode realistically (or even some of the factions bonuses for example). It's advised because of this to do Zaishen missions when they line up with the other stuff you're already doing, but do not plan to farm them for keys.
- The only other option for a solo character to get Zaishen Keys is to salvage Celestial Sigils from the Sigil Trader. This is not feasible however as this means you'd spend between 500,000 Platinum (Yes, Platinum) to 1,000,000 Platinum to obtain enough keys to complete the title. Additionally it's not uncommon for the Sigil Trader to run out of stock, making it impossible to purchase any from it for a while. Even if you had a Gold/Platinum farm that output 1000 Platinum an hour (Which does not exist even in the non-solo world), you would still spend 1000 HOURS to complete the title this way.
* One way to accomplish this not fully solo would be to funnel money/keys to an alt on the same account
* Another would be to use money you earned on your solo character to 'purchase' the keys on the alt characters, or solo character itself.
* Optionally you could opt to allow 'pvp' on your character to use faction to obtain this title, but this does go a bit against the solo nature.
