Mission

There is currently only one known method to completing this mission solo. You must Shadow step over the trigger. This means you must be Assassin primary/Assassin secondary or use Ebon Escape as a Ranger primary/Ranger secondary and bring along a pet.

Shadow Stepping over the trigger

At the start of the mission there is an invisible line drawn on the floor that must be shadow stepped over. This line triggers all the enemies to rush forward. Immediately after you spawn into the mission, pin Tahlkora to the back of circle since she can also activate the trigger. Then, hug the east side of the walk way.

From here, you need to memorize where the furthers you can walk forward without activating the trigger. Do this multiple times and use the brown flower design on the floor as a guide.

Now that you know how far forward you can go without activating the trigger, go to that location and use the skill Heart of Shadow while targeting yourself. There are three outcomes that can happen, all of which are RNG:

  1. You shadow step directly towards the altar and the trigger was jumped over and none of the enemies are running towards the center of the altar.
  2. You shadow step directly away from the altar (closer to where you spawned in) and you can reposition and try again.
  3. And the worst outcome, you shadow step into the trigger and have to restart the mission and try again.

(If you're using the method with a Pet and Ebon Escape, you can restart the mission until you can hug the wall using the method above and be close enough to an enemy for your pet to run to it when you send it to attack. Ebon Escape to the pet once it's on the edge of your aggro range and then set it to Avoid Combat)

Explanation on what's now going on

- The Blasphemy

  • The Blasphemy require certain conditions to spawn. As long as the Blasphemy did not spawn, you have infinite time to complete the mission. The required conditions for the Blasphemy to spawn are:
    • To get into the trigger zone you just skipped (it will then appear after a certain amount of time): this should not happen since you skipped the trigger
    • OR to kill all the groups of 2 Margonites (see below)

- The Margonites

  • The Margonites groups are always the same.
  • Each side has 2 groups of 2 Margonites + 1 group of 3 Margonites + 1 Claw
  • The groups of 2 Margonites consist of:
    • (East) 1 E & 1 Mo
    • (East) 1 R & 1 P
    • (West) 1 Mo & 1 N
    • (West) 1 W & 1 D
    • (South) 1 W & 1 D
    • (South) 1 P & 1 N
  • The groups of 3 Margonites consist of:
    • (East) 1 Mo & 1 E & 1 Me (& 1 Claw)
    • (West) 1 R & 1 P & 1 D (& 1 Claw)
    • (South) 1 N & 1 D & 1 W (& 1 Claw)

- The groups of 2 Margonites:

  • Don't rez
  • Will follow you anywhere if you don't break aggro from them
  • At least 1 Margonite of one of these groups needs to be kept alive until the 3 rifts are capped to avoid making the Blasphemy spawn

- The groups of 3 Margonites & 1 Claw:

  • Any of these margonites get rezzed without DP ~1-2 minutes after death unless the adjacent rift is capped
  • The claw does not get rezzed
  • Their leash range is small (about half way to the middle of the room) so they are easy to break

First step: deal with the groups of 2 margonites, East and South

  • It's better to pull each group away from the other margonites (especially when a Monk is present since they can chain heal)
  • Be cautious: avoid that these margonites cap the middle altar or the mission will fail

Second step: deal with the groups of 3 margonites + 1 Claw, East and South, and cap these rifts

  • The Claw can be killed first since it doesn't get rezzed. Be cautious, it deals very high damage with its skill and even more with auto-attacks.
  • Since the margonites get rezzed indefinitely, caping the rift can be a challenge. Below are some tips/infos:
    • Caping a rift will take you 40 seconds (= require you to be alone on the cap area for a total of 40 seconds)
    • Method 1 is to kill all the margonites approximately at the same time, for example with big AoE damage, so that the rift is capped before they get rezzed
    • Method 2 is to kill them over and over until you accumulated the 40 seconds needed to cap the rift
    • Method 3 is to cap the rift while some or all of them are still alive: you'll in this case need to bring the alive margonites away from the capping point, and resist while you cap. An example can be seen here

Third step: deal with the groups of 2 Margonites, West, but keep one of these Margonites alive

  • Usually, the margonite we keep alive is the Dervish, because its damage are low and it casts a lot of spells.
  • This Dervish should be left somewhere where it doesn't cap the middle altar. The idea is thus to pull it close from another rift, and then to break away from it in such a way it doesn't follow you too close from the middle of the room. Again, different methods are available:
    • Method 1: TP away from it with a skill such as Shadow of Haste
    • Method 2: Use a snare and/or a knock down and/or your tp skill and/or an IMS and/or get him low so that you can go away while it's using its spells

Fourth step: Kill the group of 3 Margonites + 1 Claw and cap the Western rift

  • Same tactics as before are available

Fifth and last step:

  • Once the rift is capped and the margonites dead, kill the Dervish you left alive, then immediately head to the South Rift to kill the Blasphemy (it is not a problem if he succeed casting its spell). The Blasphemy has very low HP and armor and so dies very quickly.
  • Once the Blasphemy is dead, 3 Unbound Energies will spawn.
    • The mission will be considered completed after a few seconds
    • The Unbound Energies deal a lot of damage so it is safer to run away from them
    • Depending on the weapon you hold when they spawn, the Unbound Energy can be melee or ranged.

Notes

  • Margonites have enchantment removal, unblockable attacks, and all of them have a self heal
  • To make the mission easier, consider increasing your Lightbringer title, e.g. by farming elementals with bounty on below Dzagonur Bastion

Bonus

The bonus is to complete this mission below 6 minutes, of which 2 minutes will be spent to cap the 3 rifts. For this reason, it requires very high damage and perfect execution. Below are some notes:

  • Because of how little time you have, it is best to reset immediately if you don't get tp'd at the right place at the beginning
  • You cannot afford any enemy to get rezzed: you'll need to kill the groups with AoE and cap the rift in one shot
  • Having a high Lightbringer title probably is mandatory
