Fort Ranik

As a level 7 Ranger, this mission was a little tough. Some things to note:

• The beginning of this mission can cause you to get overwhelmed. Your allies can/will die and all the enemy charr will rush you. Care for the pop ups for the West.

• Any time during this mission, you can pull too many Charr and get killed. When this happens, simply back away and play on the edge of their aggro ranges.

• After the first big group of Charr, you can cut to the west as a boss rushes towards you with two charr and simply let it pass. Wait 10 more seconds and the other group will follow. Then pass by without fighting.

• Level 7 Charr Martyr can be tricky to deal with if you're not equipped— they have Heal Area and Heal Other. They're typically with a mesmer and a ranger.

• The bonus doesn't take too much time. If you can manage to kill a pair of monk, it's worth the 1,000XP.

• Just after the bonus area, a charr boss will dart at you with two other charr. This boss can be avoided if you move out of the way. There's a small cubby hold to the left.

• You'll have to fight a level 8 Charr boss with two other charr at Siegemaster Lormar. This was rough, but doable, at level 7.

• Additionally, you'll have to fight another level 8 Charr boss at the end of the mission, which is also quite rough, but also doable, at level 7.

• If you're quick to the 2nd catapult, as in run directly to it without stopping, and spam use on it, you can win the mission right away if you catch the boss group in the blast. This is the ideal method instead of fighting, if possible.

Recommended level: 8 or even 9.
Recommended skills: An interrupt for Healing Sig and Heal Areas. Damage through walls for mesmer/ranger groups, although not necessary. IMS if you want to skip some groups.
