Can be done with any /A build that brings Shroud of Distress.

Start from Longeye's Ledge with a build that can clear Vaettir to make sure the area around the altar and the path towards it are free of foes. Proceed to meet up with Egil Fireteller and escort him back to the altar.

Wait for Egil to die and all Arctic Nightmares to aggro on you. Slowly move outside the altars range to see where it's range ends and position the Nightmares outside of that circle and yourself within to slowly cap it. Shroud of Distress will keep you alive.
