Mission

Completed somewhat comfortably on a level 16 Necromancer. Could've use enchantment removal to help with the monks. There were times when I just barely had enough damage to outdps their heals.

  • The White Mantle Abbot at the top of the hill will heal the surrounding Mergoyles. Pull the Mergoyles away from the Abbot before trying to kill them for an easier time.
  • The Eye of Janthir that follows you knocks down enemies near it every 7 seconds. This can be used as both a defensive and offensive tool.
    • Additionally, the Eye of Janthir will body block enemies from reaching you.
  • The Eye of Janthir will stick on enemies and won't leave them until they've been killed. Therefore, don't let it aggro anything you can't eventually kill or else you'll have to reset.
    • The most likely situation where this can happen is at the start on the mission, just after you leave the gate with the Eye of Janthir. There are two groups with 2x Spined Aloe each that can be a headache to kill without the proper tool. It's possible to spawn all four of them together if you're not careful. The best way to avoid them is to make an immediate left U-turn after you leave the gate, and stick to the left wall until you arrive at the bridge with the Gypsie Ettins.
  • There are times when you'll be fighting 2x Skeleton Monks at the same time. Infuse Health and Healing Breeze are their only heals, so enchantment removal can be useful here.
  • A very safe method for completing this mission is to not talk to the Chosen Villagers that you've been saving throughout the mission until the entire path to the end has been cleared of enemies. You can then back track through the mission and talk to each of the Chosen Villagers that you saved and escort them safely to the end.

Bonus

This bonus is pretty straightforward for the most part, collect each of the chosen villagers per normal. The only note with doing this solo (or in general) is you WANT increased movement speed of some form. When you cross the bridge and save the chosen there, you afterwards need to run to the left and head towards the next villager. It is 100% RNG dependent but sometimes this villager can spawn in combat with the second group of tengu, if this happens your only option is to leave the eye on the first group, activate your increased movement speed and run ahead to try saving the villager in time, while balancing the fact that the other villagers might be with the first group of tengu as well.

If the villager isn't in combat, take your time with the first group and it should be straightforward, just keep an eye out and make sure the villager doesn't pull aggro.
